Dear 2016-ers,
It’s November, with all that the name
entails. I will not get into preparing
for finals, other end of semester tasks/fun, and Winter Break. I think I did a pretty good job expounding
upon them in previous newsletters (November
and December
2012).
I would, instead like to tell you about
something that has been taking up huge amounts of my time this semester. I chair the Trinity University Curriculum
Council. We are responsible for
approving new courses, revisions or deletion of courses, and the general
governance of the curriculum. more>>

Dear Class of 2016:
Can you believe it? It's almost time to wrap up another semester at
Trinity! My hope is that Trinity continues to be a magical place for you,
replete with challenging studies and rewarding friendships...and maybe
somewhere in the midst of writing papers and studying for finals even a bit of
fun! Absolutely...don't forget the fun! more>>

Christmas on Oakmont
Volunteers are needed to assist at open houses on
Oakmont Court following the Christmas Vespers on Sunday,
December 8. Please consider volunteering for this yearly
tradition. For more information, please e-mail Maureen Chea or call 999-7311.
Surviving the End
of the Semester
Only
about two weeks of classes remain.
Papers and projects are coming due.
Then comes final exams. That’s a
lot of work to manage. You need a
carefully thought out game plan! First,
make a list of all your remaining assignments and exams in chronological
order. Second, break each task into
manageable steps. Third, estimate how
many hours it will take you to accomplish each step for each item on your
list. Fourth, put the items on a
calendar with your time estimates written next to them. Now you can see how many hours of work are
needed on the days leading up to each due date, so you can plan
accordingly. Using the Trinity
Daily Activity Schedule, you can map out which steps you will do when. For more specific study skills, please visit Counseling Services’ self-help
page.
It's not too late to get a Flu shot! Flu vaccine is still available
for students, No appointment is necessary. The cost is
$12 payable by Tiger Bucks, check or it may be billed to
the student account.
