Dear Class of 2016:
Can you believe it? It's almost time to wrap up another semester at Trinity! My hope is that Trinity continues to be a magical place for you, replete with challenging studies and rewarding friendships...and maybe somewhere in the midst of writing papers and studying for finals even a bit of fun! Absolutely...don't forget the fun!
I've been privileged to speak with some of you during recent weeks about your intended majors, and with others about opportunities in semester abroad programs. I'm always impressed by the gracious force of your collective personality, and your interest in service to the community. Make the most of your decisions, and certainly focus on charting an educational foundation for a career that will provide purpose and meaning to your journey. I can't think of many things sadder than working for a lifetime in a job that isn't personally fulfilling. Rely on trusted mentors, friends and family members for guidance and support as you continue to create a framework for a resume, and keep your eyes and ears open for careers that may become a passion for you.
Before I close, I want to wish each of you a wonderful Christmas break! My hope and prayer is that during this season of light and celebration you will be filled with joy, hope and peace! Travel safely, enjoy your time with family and friends, and please do not hesitate to contact me if I may be of assistance to you!
