Hi 2016-ers!

Wow, we are almost up to midterm exams and Spring Break!  Give yourselves a moment to congratulate yourself on getting this far in the semester.  The next week may be taxing (and in some courses, you’ve probably already had a mid-term or two), but I would like to take a moment to nag a bit:  more>>

Dear Class of 2016:

It’s hard to believe that Spring Break is approaching! During your time at Trinity you have developed a rhythm for managing your studies and maintaining a social life. You have survived countless quizzes, presentations, papers, examinations, the Mayan Apocalypse, and even a relatively close call with an asteroid…time to celebrate!  more>>

Health Services will be closed on March 29, 30 and 31 in observance of Easter.
Students seeking urgent care will find clinic locations in the Self-Care Guide.

Feeling Sleepy?

March 3-10 is National Sleep Awareness Week.  If you’re yawning today, or have been other days this week, it’s time for a sleep check-up.  Sleep deprivation is a common experience among college students, and the consequences are numerous, including impaired concentration, impaired mood, and suppression of the immune system.  In fact, getting adequate sleep is one of the best things you can do for your mental health!  Check out this brief article from the State University of New York—Geneseo.  And if you have trouble falling asleep, check out the comprehensive list of sleep tips from the National Sleep Foundation.  (BTW, tip #2 is a top tip; you may not be able to take a relaxing bath, but there are other things you can do to transition from study or play to quiet and rest.)

Would you like to consult with a Dietitian?
Here's your opportunity. Angela Aladjem, Registered Dietitian will be in Mabee Dining Hall on Tuesday, March 19 and Thursday, March 21 from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. She is there to answer your nutrition questions and provide guidance for your particular dietary needs.
