Hello, 2016-ers!
OMG, I can hardly believe that we are nearing the end of our third year together and you are preparing for the fall semester registration of your final year. As you look at the schedule that is beginning to form, be vigilant about checking your Degree Audit (which you can find if you select “Evaluate Program” from the drop-down menu on TigerPaws) to make sure that you are completing the requirements both for your major and for the Common Curriculum. While your faculty advisor is there to help you with the ins-and-outs of the Trinity Curriculum, ultimately (and officially), YOU are the final arbiter of how well you are fulfilling your requirements. I can’t imagine a more miserable feeling than to be MORE >> one course short of graduation next spring!
This is also your next-to-last opportunity to sit in the classes taught by some incredible minds. As you consider electives, use this opportunity wisely. What subjects did you not have time for before, but had always wanted to explore? What professor had you heard wonderful things about, but had been concerned about fitting in the courses for your minor? This is your chance.
I know I sound like a real cheerleader for Trinity. I do because I firmly believe that there are opportunities here that are not available elsewhere. I also firmly believe that you haven’t gotten your tuition dollars worth until you’ve unearthed and squeezed dry every educational possibility available to you here!
May the second half of the semester breeze by in a flurry of discovery!
