Class of 2016:
It was wonderful to see many of you this past Sunday in Prassel Atrium! It sounded as though the summer months were a positive respite for most of you, and I know you're eager to resume your friendships and your studies!
I want to re-emphasize the importance of developing personal and professional networks during your next three years at Trinity. Hopefully, you already have a strong network of family members, friends and classmates. I also hope you are developing solid contacts with university faculty and staff. Each of these persons should be able to provide you with advice, encouragement, information and referrals in your search for a major and a career.
Beyond these important contacts, I want to challenge you to become involved in the larger community of San Antonio. I stand ready as your Alumni Sponsor to assist you in identifying persons within the community that can speak with you about career(s), their areas of interest, and mechanisms for maintaining a sense of balance in the workplace and at home. All you have to do is ask, and I will gladly work with you (and career services) to initiate a conversation...just let me know!
